I decided to vendor the implementation from https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jaraco/backports.functools_lru_cache/master/backports/functools_lru_cache.py as it depends on setuptools_scm installing which is failing on the macOS build machine with SSL errors that I cant be bothered to track down. Not to mention that installing a an extra dependency just for a single function is absurd.
calibre
calibre is an e-book manager. It can view, convert, edit and catalog e-books in all of the major e-book formats. It can also talk to e-book reader devices. It can go out to the internet and fetch metadata for your books. It can download newspapers and convert them into e-books for convenient reading. It is cross platform, running on Linux, Windows and macOS.
